Kayla is originally from Ocean City, MD and received a B.A. in Sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She moved to the Cape to work for the AmeriCorps Cape Cod program as a Program Supervisor, where she oversaw a team of 13 AmeriCorps members. Following her one-year contract, she stayed on the Cape to obtain her Real Estate license and help bookkeep for two local non-profits, Champ Homes and Shellfish Promotion and Tasting, Inc. (SPAT). The following year she returned to the AmeriCorps Cape Cod program as the Program Coordinator where she was responsible for grant and fiscal management, staff supervision, and developing community partnerships. Kayla is very excited to be joining the CDP and play a key role in connecting folks to affordable housing on the Cape.
In her free time, you can find Kayla exploring new spots to find sea glass, paddling, or skiing. She currently resides in Mashpee with her partner and rescue pup.
