2022 SUMMER LOWER CAPE PEER GROUP MEETING
These Peer Group meetings are an informal discussion space for municipal officials and town staff who are involved in or interested in housing production on the Lower Cape. Towns will have an opportunity to share updates on their housing initiatives and projects.
Audience: elected and appointed town officials and town staff such as current members of the following boards & committees: Select Board, Finance Committee, Planning & Zoning Boards, Community Preservation Committee, Housing Trust, Housing Committee, Housing Authority, Local Housing Partnership, Town staff, etc.
Registration details: There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is required to receive the Zoom link to join the meeting.
Leveling Up Community and Civic Engagement for a Successful Town Meeting – Alex Morse, Town Manager, Town of Provincetown
It was a was banner year for housing initiatives, totaling 85 articles in our region. We will hear from Alex Morse, about the roadmap and what it means to work hand in hand with community members and residents that broaden engagement for a successful outcome. We will discuss:
- Engagement strategies to broaden outreach and help inform better decision making at town meetings
- Highlight different approaches to engaging regulatory boards and residents
- How to reach community members that are underrepresented?
