Free Small Business Assistance at Chatham Works Are you starting a new business or ready to take your existing business to the next level? The Community Development Partnership can help! The CDP is offering free in-person meetings at Chatham Works.
The course covers: credit health and budgeting; mortgage process and options; finding the right home and making an offer; appraisals; home inspection; legal procedures and protections; insurance protection; home energy audits and savings and ongoing homeownership. Participants must complete all course requirements listed below to receive an electronic Certificate of Completion. Certificates are active for two years. The course is open to any interested individual or household (2 people).
In response to the urgent housing shortage, the Homeless Prevention Council and Community Development Partnership (two Orleans-based, housing-focused non-profits) teamed up to form the Lower Cape Housing and ADU Resource Center to help Lower and Outer Cape residents secure and provide more year-round affordable housing. This information session will provide an overview of the free services and supports offered by these two organizations: housing stabilization funds, landlord education, rental listings, technical assistance for homeowners considering an ADU build on their property, and more. In addition, learn more about the ADU provisions in the new MA Affordable Homes Act. Residents from any of the 8 Lower and Outer Cape Towns are welcome to attend.

Peer Group meetings are an informal discussion space for municipal officials and town staff who are involved in or interested in housing production on the Lower & Outer Cape. Towns will have an opportunity to share updates on their housing initiatives and projects. Guest speakers and additional agenda items to be announced throughout the year.
