Community Organizing Manager
Status: Full-time Exempt Position (37.5 hours/week)

DESCRIPTION
The Community Organizing Manager will primarily work within a Housing Advocacy team to conduct outreach, base building, training, education, and leadership development among our Lower Cape community residents for the main purpose of increasing housing opportunities in the region. The Housing Advocacy team currently includes a Director of Housing Advocacy, a Housing Advocacy Program Manager, and a second Community Organizing Manager. The Community Organizing Manager will work with our housing development team to assist with community engagement, as needed. Additionally, the Community Organizing Manager will work with our Development & Communications team to assist with the design of our in-house campaign to build public support for housing.
The Community Organizing Manager reports to the Director of Housing Advocacy. The Community Organizing Manager will work from the CDP’s office at 260 Cranberry Hwy, Orleans, Massachusetts. Opportunities for remote work of up to 3 days per week are available and subject to approval by the position’s supervisor. This is a Full-Time Exempt Position (37.5 hours/week).

Maintenance Technician
Status: Fill-time position (37.5 hours/week)
Time Frame: Position open until filled
Description:
The Maintenance Tech works to help maintain the CDP’s portfolio of 91 affordable rental homes on the Lower Cape (Harwich, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, Provincetown). The Maintenance Tech will perform routine maintenance and prepare rental units for new residents. Duties to include apartment renovations including carpentry, painting, general cleaning, and repairs. Also, work orders for various units that may require HVAC repairs or maintenance. Applicant must have tools and reliable vehicle for travel to and from various properties. Specific duties will include but not necessarily be limited to:
- Painting
- Renovations and repairs
- Carpentry
- General cleaning of apartment units when vacant
- HVAC repairs or maintenance
- Shared On call coverage

Volunteer Opportunities
Marketing & Communications Volunteer
The Marketing & Communications Volunteer supports the CDP’s marketing and communications efforts. Projects include development of marketing materials, proofreading of copy, creating Facebook posts, updating media contacts, and other admin-related tasks. You should have:
- strong writing and organizational skills,
- experience with MS Word (experience with Publisher & InDesign is a plus),
- access to a computer with internet
- the ability to work from home or at the CDP’s offices in Eastham.

General Administrative Volunteer
The CDP is looking for volunteers who are interested in working on a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including filing, data entry, phone calls, etc. An ability to adapt to shifting needs and possess a positive customer service-oriented attitude is ideal. This position includes weekly meetings with our Chief Financial and Operations Officer in Eastham and is ongoing. Experience with MS Word is required.
