Pelinda Deegan

Housing and Business Development Program Manager

508-290-0115

Originally from the Philippines, Pelinda moved to the Cape in 2013 from San Francisco. With more than 15 years of nonprofit experience, Pelinda is passionate about building meaningful connections and making the community a little brighter. Pelinda first worked at Cape Abilities, supporting adults with disabilities, through training and job placement. She established relationships with businesses and advocated for what was the most important to her clients, and that is being a part of the community and working. This role involved challenging misconceptions and celebrated the unique strengths of 50 individuals she worked with. Pelinda joined the CDP in 2019, providing technical services to the towns of Harwich, Chatham and Wellfleet and supporting the Lower Cape Community Housing Partnership program contributing to a range of community-focused projects including Real Estate Development.

Currently, Pelinda splits her role in the Business & Credit Department and Housing Advocacy managing Homeownership Education Program and counseling, expanding her passion for supporting people in reaching their financial goals—whether that’s purchasing their first home or helping small businesses access the guidance and resources they need to thrive.

Pelinda is a volunteer at Cape Abilities, Growing Friendship Program. When not working, she is a professional dishwasher at her family-owned restaurant and chauffeuring her son to baseball and basketball games on weekends.
