Who We Are

Steve Ferris joined CDP in April 2025 as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO). A Boston native, he earned his BS in Business Administration & Accounting from Northeastern University. For many years, he and his wife Joanne spent summers on Cape Cod with family, ultimately purchasing a summer home in 2010 to enjoy with their two children.

In 2017, the Ferris family made the Cape their permanent home. Shortly after, Steve and his daughter opened a beach and surf shop in Chatham, blending a love for local business with Cape Cod living. He went on to serve as Chief Financial Officer for Housing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis for seven years, where he helped guide the organization’s financial strategy and growth. Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Steve spent over 25 years at American Express headquarters in Manhattan, progressing through various leadership roles in Finance and Operations.

Steve is active in the local community. He serves as the State Appointee to the Brewster Housing Authority, has contributed to the Town of Brewster’s Sea Camps Planning Committee, is a member of the Frederick Court Development Board and mentors aspiring small business owners through the Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) program.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling, and tinkering in the garage as a backyard mechanic.
